Devi partire da un concetto di base, non stai virtualizzando la tua macchina, ma una macchina ideale.
Se vai a verificare i driver ethernet e quelli della scheda video dentro Vbox fanno riferimento a delle schede diverse da quelle del tuo sistema.
Per ciò che invece è collegato alla porta USB è possibile che tramite la virtualizzazione USB venga riportato il vero dispositivo al sistema virtuale.
Ma ciò a patto che il dispositivo non venga usato e quindi bloccato dal sistema reale.
Altrimenti significherebbe che il medesimo dispositivo wifi può collegarsi ad una rete nel computer fisico e ad un altra nel computer virtuale, sia cioè condiviso.
Il metodo più semplice per essere sicuri che il dispositivo sia trasferito alla macchina virtuale sottostante è collegare la periferica USB DOPO l'avvio di virtual box e del sistema virtualizzato. Le interazioni con il sistema reale possono impedirne il funzionamento.
Consiglio comunque di usare una macchina reale dedicata a Kali, che è comunque il sistema più affidabile.
Eventualmente se non vuoi fare una installazione dedicata, realizza una penna di memoria USB avviabile con Kali e fai partire quella quando vuoi.
Sarà più efficiente e con una penna da 16 o più giga avrai il meglio di entrambi i sistemi.
